Our Mission

  • Academic and Research Space (ARS)
    is responsible for the efficient and effective utilization of space on the University of Nevada, Las Vegas campus and all associated owned and leased properties.

  • This mission is accomplished through diligent space planning and programming efforts, space utilization studies, and maintenance of the UNLV facilities space inventory database and building floor plans.

  • Academic and Research Space is responsible for the stewardship of relocation, renovation and construction projects that affect academic divisions and departments. In this capacity, ARS serves as the liaison between the academic unit and the various on- and off-campus service providers.

Our Vision

  • Enhance the UNLV community by providing comprehensive space planning and programming in support of the learning, discovery and community engagement missions of the university.

  • Incorporate all academic and administrative renovation and construction projects into an integrated planning effort that considers the greater good of the university over the individual agendas of the units, in order to

  • Ensure the highest utilization of budget, time and space on the UNLV campus.
