Learning about the Course
Your department will provide you with information about the course(s) you are scheduled to teach.
Such information should include the following:
- Class schedule
- Meeting location
- Approximate number of students
- A curriculum, including clear learning objectives for the course
- Relationship of this course to other courses – is it a pre-requisite for another course? Is it part of a sequence of courses?
- Required course materials including textbooks, non-textbook materials, special supplies, etc.
- The names of faculty who have taught this course previously so that you can consult with them
