Course Management

Learning about the Course
Your department will provide you with information about the course(s) you are scheduled to teach.

Such information should include the following:

  • Class schedule
  • Meeting location
  • Approximate number of students
  • A curriculum, including clear learning objectives for the course
  • Relationship of this course to other courses – is it a pre-requisite for another course? Is it part of a sequence of courses?
  • Required course materials including textbooks, non-textbook materials, special supplies, etc.
  • The names of faculty who have taught this course previously so that you can consult with them
